Delivery of your boat to CSCD lakes by someone else’s trailer can contaminate our lakes with zebra mussels if the trailer was on another lake in the previous 7 days – decontaminate the trailer with our hot power washer (which is now in operation at the decon site near the basketball courts at Centerlake Park) or a 10% bleach solution. Per resolution 2021-4 All barges, boats, dredges and trailers required to obtain a barge permit and all communal trailers that move boats to and from multiple bodies of water, and any other equipment which could potentially introduce zebra mussels into Cordry or Sweetwater Lake, must be decontaminated or quarantined prior to launch or use on Cordry or Sweetwater Lake. Decontamination or quarantine shall occur every time the barge, boat, dredge, trailer, or other equipment leaves the boundaries of the Cordry-Sweetwater Conservancy District, and prior to launch or re-launch upon Cordry or Sweetwater Lake. The decontamination fee for contractors is $25.

Effective per the Board of Director's Meeting 4/16/2024 the new maximum length of a class #1 speedboat is 20ft. and the updated way to determine the length of the boat is as follows:
The horizontal distance measured along the centerline of the boat from the bow point (excluding the rub rail) (POINT A) to the rear most point of the running part of the hull (POINT B).
This is the rear most portion of the boat that is in the water when on plane.
If you are purchasing a boat please see the diagrams on our website cscd-in.org to see how the updated measuring process is performed.
The previous pre-measured list is null, no longer in effect; if a freeholder is purchasing a speed boat (even if it has been on the lake) then it will need to be brought into the office to be measured.
**This does not apply to boats that are currently stickered with the District to the current owners.
