This is a reminder that if you have floating platform (including a personal buoy) below is the rule for putting them out on the lake.
Floating Platforms
In the CSCD rule book (pg. 11) it states:
Floating platforms shall include, but not limited to, single person mats, air mattresses, bounce, or trampoline type platforms.
Floating platforms shall not extend past 25 feet from shore. At no time shall a platform take up more than 25% of a cove. At no time shall a platform, or swimmers around the platform, become a navigational impediment. When not in use, these platforms shall be pulled and secured to the shore.
If you have a floating platform of any kind (including personal buoys) please remember to pull them in and secure them when not in use also, please do not place these items in areas where they would become a navigational hazard. CSCD boat patrol will be giving freeholders a friendly reminder to do so.
If you currently are not pulling your floating platforms in and securing them to your property when not in use or have one placed where it is a navigational hazard, this is your reminder to do so. Please comply or the District will remove your floating platforms (including buoys) and in an effort to return the floating platforms to their owner they can pick the retrieved ones up at the District Office.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CSCD Office at 317-933-2893 and ask for Brittany Bay or Nick Johann.
Thank you & have a great day!
